We don't know the reasons why the greatest Swedish Floorball player of all time, Alexander Galante Calstrom, leaves Sweden and Falun to go and play in another top nation, Switzerland, in the Sv Wiler-Ersigen team.
Even at the World Cup, seeing a Sweden without Alexander is like playing Super Mario Bross without Super Mario.
The Golden Shoe, the World Cup won, maybe Galante wanted new experiences?
We at Floorballmania are curious and this is well known, so we reached out to him and asked him.
1) Hi Alexander Galante Calstrom first of all how are you?
Hello Dario, im find thank you and i hope everything is good with you to.
2) So our readers have been struck recently by a surprise post on Instagram. Let's start with the motivation that brings you to play away from Sweden.
Yes first of all im very excited to play in another country and for a big great club like Wiler. I have played in the swedish league for Falun in 14 years and won everything so i want to try a different league and a new way to play floorball.
3) Then we asked ourselves why Sweden at the World Cup without the Golden Shoe.
Yes i asking myself that question to. The coaches in the national team think that im not in shape to play that i have a bad year last year. I did most goals in the playoff in Sweden. So i think they done a mistake, and i don't have much more to say there.
4) Now let's move on to your new destination German Switzerland in the Sv Wiler-Ersigen team, how did this choice come about? And why Switzerland and not Finland, the Czech Republic?
About the new club i was taking to 4-5 clubs in the alps. But Wiler was most on me, they was writing and calling me. And they needed a rightwinger so i thought it was a great club for me. And also its the biggest club in Switzerland with most trouphies. I think Switzerland is a beautiful country and now i have close to the best country Italy so i can go there when ever i want :).
5) Your new club is making important player additions and you represent the spearhead, what goals has the team set itself?
I think Wiler want to win everything they are playing, so i want to help winning more titels for the club. We are aiming at all the titles.
6) What goals has Alexander Galante Calstrom set himself in his new Swiss adventure? What else do you want to show the world of Floorball that you haven't already shown?
I want to play good floorball of course, but i need to continue scoring goals thats my work and my weapon. So i want to be able to helping the team to win more titles.
7) How did your family take the decision to go and play in Switzerland?
My both kids was a bit sad in the beginning but its only for 9 months. And its like many breaks when its national team games and also christmas and things like that. I need to say thanks to my wife for the opportunity to play in Switzerland.
8) Is there a possibility for Alexander Galante Calstrom to try the Italian experience one day, a land to which you are very attached, perhaps as a Coach?
Of course the possibility is always there you never know. I like the country of course and also that im talking the language does it more easier. So we will talk that thrue in the future.
9) What do you feel like saying to your fans who, from the messages on Instagram, some were a little surprised by your choice?
Yes somebody was surprised but all fairytales most be closed and now my time with Falun is over after this season. Of course some in the audience going to miss me and i will miss them but i need to talk the change here.
10) Is there a playmate from Sweden that you would have liked to bring with you to Switzerland? And why?
Yes now its only players from Finland and also Switzerland so had been nice with a good swedish player. I think i will take Omar Aldeeb :)

Noi di Floorballmania siamo curiosi e questo è risaputo, quindi l'abbiamo raggiunto e glielo abbiamo chiesto.
1) Ciao Alexander Galante Calstrom innanzitutto come stai.
Ciao Dario, ti ringrazio e spero che anche tu vada tutto bene.
2) Allora i nostri lettori sono stati colpiti ultimamente da un post su Instagram a sorpresa. Partiamo dalla motivazione che ti porta a giocare lontano dalla Svezia.
Sì, prima di tutto sono molto emozionato di giocare in un altro paese e per un grande club come il Wiler. Ho giocato nel campionato svedese per il Falun per 14 anni e ho vinto tutto, quindi voglio provare un campionato diverso e un nuovo modo di giocare a floorball.
3) Poi ci siamo chiesti il perché di una Svezia al mondiale senza la scarpa d'oro.
Sì, mi sto ponendo anche io questa domanda. Gli allenatori della nazionale pensano che non sono in forma per giocare, che l'anno scorso ho avuto un anno negativo. Ho segnato la maggior parte dei gol nei playoff in Svezia. Quindi penso che abbiano fatto un errore e non ho molto altro da dire al riguardo.
4) Ora passiamo alla tua nuova destinazione. La Svizzera tedesca nella squadra dello Sv Wiler-Ersigen, com'è nata questa scelta? E perché la Svizzera e non la Finlandia, la Repubblica Ceca?
Per quanto riguarda il nuovo club, stavo portando 4-5 club nelle Alpi. Ma il Wiler era più su di me, mi scrivevano e mi chiamavano. E avevano bisogno di un'ala destra, quindi ho pensato che fosse un grande club per me. Ed è anche il club più grande in Svizzera con più trofei. Penso che la Svizzera sia un paese meraviglioso e ora sono vicino al miglior paese, l'Italia, quindi posso andarci quando voglio :).
5) Il tuo nuovo club sta facendo inserimenti di giocatori importanti e tu rappresenti la punta di diamante, che obiettivi si è posta la squadra?
Penso che Wiler voglia vincere tutto ciò a cui sta giocando, quindi voglio aiutare a vincere più titoli per il club. Puntiamo a tutti i titoli.
6) Quali obiettivi si è posto Alexander Galante Calstrom nella sua nuova avventura Svizzera? Cosa, ancora, vuoi dimostrare al mondo del Floorball che non hai già dimostrato?
Voglio giocare bene a floorball, ovviamente, ma devo continuare a segnare gol, questo è il mio lavoro e la mia arma. Quindi voglio essere in grado di aiutare la squadra a vincere più titoli.
7) La tua famiglia come ha preso la scelta di andare a giocare in Svizzera?
Entrambi i miei figli erano un po' tristi all'inizio, ma è solo per 9 mesi. E ci sono molte pause quando ci sono le partite della nazionale e anche Natale e cose del genere. Devo ringraziare mia moglie per l'opportunità di giocare in Svizzera.
8) Esiste per Alexander Galante Calstrom l'ipotesi un giorno di provare l'esperienza italiana, terra alla quale sei molto attaccato, magari come Coach?
Ovviamente la possibilità c'è sempre, non si sa mai. Mi piace il paese, ovviamente, e anche il fatto che parli la lingua lo rende più facile. Quindi ne parleremo in futuro.
9) Cosa ti senti di dire ai tuoi tifosi che, dai messaggi su Instagram, alcuni sono rimasti un po' sorpresi della tua scelta?
Sì, qualcuno è rimasto sorpreso, ma tutte le favole devono essere chiuse e ora il mio tempo con Falun è finito dopo questa stagione. Ovviamente alcuni tra il pubblico sentiranno la mia mancanza e io sentirò la loro mancanza, ma devo parlare del cambiamento qui.
10) C'è un compagno di gioco che dalla Svezia avresti voluto portare con te in Svizzera? E perché?
Ora ci sono solo giocatori dalla Finlandia e anche dalla Svizzera, quindi è stato bello avere un bravo giocatore svedese. Penso che prenderò Omar Aldeeb :)
