Oggi Floorballmania vi porta a conoscere un giovane portiere italiano ma che gioca e vive in Finlandia.
Gioca in Finlandia ed è un portiere di tutto rispetto, conosciuto in Italia abbiamo deciso di raggiungerlo telefonicamente e fargli un'intervista.

Ciao Sampo come stai? Grazie per averci dedicato il tuo tempo.
Ciao Floorballmania e grazie a te per avermi contattato, sono un vostro lettore e sono felice di fare un'intervista con voi.
Allora Sampo a quanti anni hai cominciato a giocare in porta?
Se ricordo bene avevo 8 o 9 anni quando ho iniziato in porta e faccio questo ruolo ormai da più o meno 12 anni.
In quale squadra giochi oggi?
Gioco nei U22 dei Pirkkalan Pirkat. Mi alleno anche con la prima squadra che gioca in Suomisarja (terzo livello finlandese).
Cosa pensi della tua attuale società?
La mia societa Pirkkalan Pirkat e una società in crescita. É la seconda società di floorball piu grande a Tampere dopo Classic.
Sto per iniziare la mia seconda stagione con loro, qui mi sono trovato benissimo, mi piace perché è una società con obiettivi, ma sa anche quando non prendere le cose troppo seriamente.
Qual’è il tuo rapporto con l'Italia? Hai mai giocato nella nazionale italiana senior maschile?
Beh, ho un rapporto molto vicino col l'Italia, è il mio paese di nascita. L'unica volta (finora) che ho avuto l'onore di rappresentare la nazionale italiana, è stato ai mondiali 3v3 a Lahti in Finlandia quest'anno.
Hai partecipato al mondiale 3 contro 3 con la nazionale italiana campo piccolo, che ne pensi di questa nuova formula?
Ovviamente è una cosa nuova per questo sport. È un lato che in Italia conosciamo già bene come campo piccolo, ma il modello IFF giocata ai mondiali 3v3 ha il campo ancora piu piccolo e anche lo stile di gioco è ancora più veloce e senza pause perché il portiere ha il compito di aprire sempre ill gioco.
In questa versione del gioco il portiere può anche fare gol (che ho imparato a mie spese). Questa nuova formula apre nuove possibilità per lo sport è per nazioni più piccole nello sport di farsi vedere e fare esperienza in un mondiale.
Per una settimana sei stato accanto alla nazionale italiana under 19 femminile, come sei sto? Cosa pensi di quella nazionale? E cosa pensi dello Staff?
Si, per una settimana sono stato il "Team Guide" dell'Italia ai mondiali a Lahti, aiutavo la squadra e lo staff in tutto fuori il campo, così che potevano concentrarsi sulle partite.
È stata un'esperienza unica perché in genere sono abituato a concentrarmi sul gioco, invece adesso il mio focus era su tutto che girava intorno.
La squadra mi ha sorpreso positivamente tante volte, le ragazze erano brave e capaci e soprattutto motivate, giiocavano sempre al massimo e con il cuore.
Ho avuto molto piacere a lavorare con loro e con un'incredibile staff.
Sono stati tutti molto professionali, il loro head coach aveva dato ad ognuno il suo ruolo e secondo me quello è stato il loro punto di forza.
Il vantaggio più grande che la squadra italiana ha avuto è stato avere uno staff completo che faceva tutto possibile per far sì che la squadra potesse giocare al massimo.
Quest'anno quale obiettivo vorresti raggiungere a livello personale? Ed a livello di squadra?
Come obiettivo personale voglio avere ancora più confidenza con la mi porta e giocare tante partite. Al livello di squadra, nella prima squadra promozione in Inssi-Divari (secondo livello maggiore) e nei U22 promozione dalla 1 Divisione alla Lega Nazionale (livello più alto giovanile).
Cosa manca, secondo te, all'Italia per far volare definitivamente il proprio movimento floorball?
Secondo me la cosa che manca all'italia è la visibilità. L'italiano ordinario non sa del floorball. È difficile crescere uno sport se le persone non sanno che esiste.
Allora il floorball in Italia deve farsi vedere più sui media, social, tv, sulle strade etc. (questo ovviamente è più facile da dire che da fare).
Come seconda cosa, non ci sono abbastanza squadre di campo grande giovanile.
Quando vivevo in Italia, per qualche anno c'era il progetto selezione Lombardia, dove giocatori top U19 della regione potevano allenarsi insieme seriamente e giocare partite amichevoli su campo grande, secondo me era un progetto che funzionava.
Chiudiamo con un consiglio ai giovani sportivi. Cosa diresti ad un ragazzo o ragazza indecisa se fare il portiere di floorball oppure no?
Essere un portiere è un ruolo per quelli che non hanno paura di essere diversi e giocare con tante responsabilità. Come portiere i tuoi compagni di squadra non ti capiranno mai completamente, ma allo stesso momento sei il cuore della squadra.

So Stampo, how old were you when you started playing in goal?
If I remember correctly, I was 8 or 9 years old when I started in goal and I have been doing this role for more or less 12 years now.
Which team are you playing for today?
I play in the U22s of Pirkkalan Pirkat. I also train with the first team that plays in Suomisarja (Finnish third tier).
What do you think of your current company?
My company Pirkkalan Pirkat is a growing company. It is the second largest floorball club in Tampere after Classic.
I'm about to start my second season with them, I had a great time here, I like it because it's a company with objectives, but also knows when not to take things too seriously.
What is your relationship with Italy? Have you ever played for the Italian senior men's national team?
Well, I have a very close relationship with Italy, it is my country of birth. The only time (so far) that I have had the honor of representing the Italian national team was at the 3v3 World Cup in Lahti, Finland this year.
You participated in the 3 on 3 World Cup with the Italian national team in small field, what do you think of this new formula?
Obviously it's something new for this sport. It is a side that in Italy we already know well as a small pitch, but the IFF model played at the 3v3 World Cup has an even smaller pitch and also the style of play is even faster and without pauses because the goalkeeper has the task of always opening the ball. game.
In this version of the game the goalkeeper can also score goals (which I learned the hard way). This new formula opens up new possibilities for sport and for smaller nations in sport to be seen and gain experience in a World Cup.
For a week you were alongside the Italian under-19 women's national team, how were you? What do you think of the national one? And what do you think of the Staff?
Yes, for a week I was the "Team Guide" of Italy at the World Cup in Lahti, I helped the team and the staff with everything off the pitch, so they could concentrate on the matches.
It was a unique experience because I'm usually used to focusing on the game, but now my focus was on everything around.
The team surprised me positively many times, the girls were good and capable and above all motivated, they always played to their best and with their heart.
I had a lot of pleasure working with them and an incredible staff.
They were all very professional, their head coach had given everyone their own role and in my opinion that was their strong point.
The biggest advantage that the Italian team had was having a complete staff that did everything possible to ensure that the team could play at its best.
What goal would you like to achieve on a personal level this year? And at a team level?
As a personal goal I want to have even more confidence with my goal and play many matches. At team level, in the first team promotion to Inssi-Divari (second senior level) and in the U22s promotion from 1st Division to the National League (highest youth level).
What, in your opinion, is Italy missing to make its floorball movement take off once and for all?
In my opinion, the thing Italy lacks is visibility. The ordinary Italian doesn't know about floorball. It's hard to grow a sport if people don't know it exists.
So floorball in Italy must be seen more in the media, social media, TV, on the streets, etc. (this is obviously easier said than done).
Secondly, there are not enough large youth field teams.
When I lived in Italy, for a few years there was the Lombardy selection project, where top U19 players in the region could train together seriously and play friendly matches on a large pitch. In my opinion it was a project that worked.
We close with advice to young athletes. What would you say to a boy or girl undecided whether to be a floorball goalkeeper or not?
Being a goalkeeper is a role for those who are not afraid to be different and play with a lot of responsibility. As a goalkeeper your teammates will never understand you completely, but at the same time you are the heart of the team.
If you are prepared for this, the role of goalkeeper can be for you.
