Con grande sorpresa, sabato alle 18:00 Floorballmania apre la diretta su Radio Mia Web con una puntata stranissima, che inizia come una delle più classiche telefonate tra amici.

La telefonata era tra me, Jorgen Olshov, e Giorgio Battaini ex Head Coach della nazionale italiana Femminile.

Dopo alcuni minuti sveliamo a Giorgio Battaini, che è vittima di uno scherzo e che la telefonata in realtà era una diretta radiofonica e che era tutto dedicato a lui per ringraziarlo del suo immenso lavoro, svolto in questi dieci anni alla guida della maglia azzurra Femminile.

Ma non solo Nazionale, i suoi camp a Ciampino hanno insegnato tanto a molti di noi, ha portato mentalità e professionalità.

Entra nella diretta anche l'altro Head Coach della nazionale italiana under 19 Femminile Vito ADRAGNA, che dopo i saluti di rito entra nel vivo ponendo alcune domande a Battaini.

Dopo le prime battute in linea entra anche il presidente della federazione Italiana Unihockey Floorball, Giorgio RAMBALDI il quale, oltre a ricordare i primi anni della sua conoscenza con Battaini, si complimenta e ringrazia l'ex Head Coach per tutto quello che ha dato.

Ecco nemmeno il tempo di rispondere che irrompe in diretta, un carissimo amico del coach Battaini, Sandro DI TOMASSI che fa subito capire che sentirà molto la mancanza dell'amico e lo invita immediatamente a venirlo a trovare a Ciampino. 

Poi è la volta del nuovo allenatore della nazionale italiana senior Femminile, Simone Baratin. 

Ecco qui si sono scambiati alcune domande e risposte su quello che Giorgio lasciava e su quello che Simone ereditava. Molto rispetto nelle domande e molto rispetto e riservatezza nelle risposte.

Poi Jorgen Olshov, prima di chiudere il suo intervento, fa una domanda interessante a Giorgio Battaini, gli chiede qual'è il suo rammarico più grande in questi anni trascorsi alla guida della nazionale italiana.

Battaini risponde che senza dubbio il più grande rammarico è la partita contro la Russia alle qualifiche di Celano in Italia, fu un vero dispiacere, si poteva fare di più ma non andò come avremmo voluto, lo sport è questo e bisogna sempre accettare il verdetto del campo.

Dopo i saluti di Vito Adragna, che lascia la trasmissione, è la volta di Jorgen Olshov che saluta calorosamente Battaini, poi saluta anche Sandro Di Tomassi.

La trasmissione va avanti ancora per 5 minuti con alcune domande al nuovo Head Coach Simone Baratin, da parte dello scrivente e del Presidente Rambaldi che era rimasto in diretta con floorballmania.

È stato un momento interessante condiviso con Simone Baratin, il quale ha provato a spiegare cosa si aspetta di vedere a Lignano Sabbiadoro, si dice felice di rivedere le ragazze e di cominciare a gettare le basi per il futuro. 

Elogia il lavoro svolto negli anni da Giorgio Battaini, promettendo comunque che farà il massimo per l'Italia e le ragazze e che darà un'impronta sua alla nuova squadra.

È stato un bel momento, abbiamo omaggiato un grandissimo personaggio, amico, allenatore. 

Grazie Giorgio Battaini per tutto quello che hai dato al floorball italiano.
