We have said many times that what makes a moment unforgettable is photography and speaking of Floorball, on this site we have always given space to the freeze frame artists.
But just when one thinks that these things are only a male issue, here we run into a real artist of photography, her shots make you speechless.
The most impossible positions to take that become pure art, become paintings to be affixed to the wall and look at them continuously.
A great photographer, with a capital F of Swiss nationality, much appreciated in the world of floorball, let's get to know Annatina Frizzoni.
A lot of time spent on her photographs, travels in Switzerland, from one field to another let's go to better understand who this artist is.
1) Hi Annatina, thank you for accepting our interview. Meanwhile, we ask you immediately how are you at this particular moment?
The pleasure is on my side – thank you very much. On one hand I am quite sad about the impact of the corona-situation on floorball (and the whole life) in Switzerland. On the other hand I am one of a very few persons in Switzerland who can still enjoy live NLA floorball matches. Insofar I feel very privileged.
2) Who is Annatina Frizzoni? Introduce yourself to our readers. When did you decide to follow your passion?
I live with my family in Winterthur, Switzerland. I am a mom of a girl (13) and a boy (10.5) and I work as a Job-Coach, so I teach people how to apply for jobs. I started with sports photography in autumn 2019. I attended a photo workshop organized by my favorite floorball club HC Rychenberg Winterthur, in which my son plays, too. Ever since I loved to take pictures, but sports photography fascinated me from the first second and meanwhile it became an important part of my life.
3) What is a photograph for you? What emotions does a well done shot give you?
Taking sports pictures has become my passion because I love every single step of the process. I like it very much being so near to all that emotions a floorball match entails. The hunt for a good shot challenges me. According to me a good photograph tells a story. After the game I enjoy the time I spend at my computer with viewing and sorting all the pics. And when I finally can make people happy with the results, I am happy too. All in all I am quite an “emotion junkie”. If I succeed to capture such a moment, it makes me very happy.
4) How does your day start when you are called to photograph an important game? What does a photographer do before a big event?
I do have kind of a special ritual. First of all I check my equipment! Are all batteries loaded, is everything nice and clean? Is my memory chip ready for the next challenge? And of course I’m looking forward the whole day for the moment the game starts.
5) How many hours before do you arrive at the game arena? What do you particularly do when you are in the field? Is there respect among you colleagues? How do your male colleagues treat you?
I really love the atmosphere in the arena before the game. I like to be there quite early, one or one and a half hour before the start. I stay in the background, enjoying the tens mood of expectation and concentration. Taking some pictures and seeing the players how they prepare und focus, is preparing me too.
When I’m on the field I’m in “hunting” mood. Keen on chasing good shots. 😊 I always rotate and change places to capture the game from different perspectives and angles. I let my emotions guide me.
Fortunately I never had a bad experience with any of my colleagues. I myself always feel very respected and supported by my male colleagues. I guess that is because we like to share our results and our questions.
6) we already have your photos and I must say that they are all very beautiful, but how many shots do you take before capturing the right image? How many shots do you take during a game? And out of the total of these shots, how many photos do you choose?
Thanks a lot for the compliment. It is great for me, when people enjoy my pictures.
Especially floorball is such a fast sport. So I always take a lot of pictures. During a NLA match for example I take an average of 1300 – 1500 shots, sometimes even more. Out of them I choose maybe 30 – 50 pics. And I do not always have something I consider as a “top-shot”.
7) what was the most difficult game to photograph and why? Instead, where did you enjoy taking pictures?
Actually I always enjoy taking pictures. The better I know the team and its players the more difficult it can get because of my emotional ties. I have to admit, that from time to time the fan in me hinders the photographer in me and I forget for a minute to press the shutter button. :D
8) What do you think when you have to photograph a penalty? Are you looking for the player or the goalkeeper anymore?
I love the pics which show this one-on-one battle. There is always a chance for a good shot. A player who does a zorro move can be very attractive to photograph. And a goalkeeper who can hold a penalty shot is a big hero. This pics are always full of emotions.

Above all I love the goalkeeper-pictures. This role fascinates me very much. He is an important part of the team but in some moments nevertheless fighting alone. A good “goalie shot” makes my heart sing. My son is a goalkeeper too – maybe this was the beginning of my fascination.
10) Your photos have been the subject of Comics by Floorballmania Comics and Stefano Crotti, what do you think of our editorial project? Did you know Floorballmania?
I consider it as a great honor, that my pics are chosen to be comics by floorbalmania and Stefano. I learned to know floorballmania through Stefanos comics. Meanwhile I enjoy reading floorballmania - especially the background information from the floorball world. Thanks a lot for that.

Ma proprio quando si pensa che queste cose siano solo una questione maschile, ecco che ci imbattiamo in una vera artista della fotografia, i suoi scatti lasciano senza parole.
Le posizioni più impossibili da prendere che diventano pura arte, diventano quadri da apporre al muro e guardati continuamente.
Grande fotografa, con la F maiuscola di nazionalità svizzera, molto apprezzata nel mondo del floorball, conosciamo Annatina Frizzoni.
Molto tempo speso per le sue fotografie, viaggi in Svizzera, da un campo all'altro andiamo per capire meglio chi è quest'artista.
1) Ciao Annatina, grazie per aver accettato la nostra intervista. Intanto ti chiediamo subito come stai in questo particolare momento?
Il piacere è dalla mia parte, grazie mille. Da un lato sono piuttosto triste per l'impatto della situazione corona sul floorball (e su tutta la vita) in Svizzera. D'altra parte sono una delle poche persone in Svizzera che possono ancora godersi le partite di floorball NLA dal vivo. Per questo mi sento molto privilegiato.
2) Chi è Annatina Frizzoni? Presentati ai nostri lettori. Quando hai deciso di seguire la tua passione?
Vivo con la mia famiglia a Winterthur, in Svizzera. Sono una mamma di una ragazza (13) e un ragazzo (10,5) e lavoro come Job-Coach, quindi insegno alle persone come fare domanda per un lavoro. Ho iniziato con la fotografia sportiva nell'autunno 2019. Ho partecipato a un workshop fotografico organizzato dal mio club di floorball preferito HC Rychenberg Winterthur, in cui gioca anche mio figlio. Da quando ho amato fare foto, ma la fotografia sportiva mi ha affascinato dal primo secondo e nel frattempo è diventata una parte importante della mia vita.
3) Cos'è per te una fotografia? Quali emozioni ti regala uno scatto ben fatto?
Scattare foto sportive è diventata la mia passione perché amo ogni singolo passaggio del processo. Mi piace molto essere così vicino a tutte le emozioni che una partita di floorball comporta. La caccia a un buon tiro mi sfida. Secondo me una buona fotografia racconta una storia. Dopo il gioco mi godo il tempo che trascorro al computer con la visualizzazione e l'ordinamento di tutte le foto. E quando finalmente posso rendere le persone felici dei risultati, lo sono anche io. Tutto sommato sono piuttosto un "drogato di emozioni". Se riesco a catturare un momento del genere, mi rende molto felice.
4) Come inizia la tua giornata quando sei chiamato a fotografare una partita importante? Cosa fa un fotografo prima di un grande evento?
Ho una specie di rituale speciale. Prima di tutto controllo la mia attrezzatura! Tutte le batterie sono cariche, è tutto a posto e pulito? Il mio chip di memoria è pronto per la prossima sfida? E ovviamente non vedo l'ora che inizi tutto il giorno il gioco.
5) Quante ore prima arrivi all'arena di gioco? Cosa fai in particolare quando sei in campo? C'è rispetto tra voi colleghi? Come ti trattano i tuoi colleghi maschi?
Adoro l'atmosfera nell'arena prima della partita. Mi piace arrivare abbastanza presto, un'ora o mezza prima della partenza. Rimango sullo sfondo, godendomi il clima di decine di attesa e concentrazione. Fare qualche foto e vedere i giocatori come si preparano e si concentrano, sta preparando anche me.

Quando sono in campo sono in vena di "caccia". Appassionato di caccia di buoni colpi. 😊 Ruoto e cambio sempre i posti per catturare il gioco da diverse prospettive e angolazioni. Lascio che le mie emozioni mi guidino.
Fortunatamente non ho mai avuto una brutta esperienza con nessuno dei miei colleghi. Io stesso mi sento sempre molto rispettato e supportato dai miei colleghi maschi. Immagino sia perché ci piace condividere i nostri risultati e le nostre domande.
6) abbiamo già le tue foto e devo dire che sono tutte molto belle, ma quanti scatti fai prima di catturare l'immagine giusta? Quanti colpi fai durante una partita? E sul totale di questi scatti, quante foto scegli?
Grazie mille per il complimento. È fantastico per me quando le persone apprezzano le mie foto.
Soprattutto il floorball è uno sport così veloce. Quindi scatto sempre molte foto. Durante una partita NLA, ad esempio, prendo in media 1300-1500 colpi, a volte anche di più. Di loro scelgo forse 30-50 foto. E non ho sempre qualcosa che considero un "top-shot".
7) qual è stato il gioco più difficile da fotografare e perché? Invece, dove ti è piaciuto fare foto?
In realtà mi piace sempre fare foto. Più conosco la squadra e i suoi giocatori, più diventa difficile a causa dei miei legami emotivi. Devo ammettere che di tanto in tanto il ventilatore in me ostacola il fotografo che è in me e mi dimentico per un minuto di premere il pulsante di scatto. : D
8) Cosa pensi quando devi fotografare un rigore? Cerchi più il giocatore o il portiere?
Adoro le foto che mostrano questa battaglia uno contro uno. C'è sempre una possibilità per un buon tiro. Un giocatore che fa una mossa zorro può essere molto attraente da fotografare. E un portiere che può trattenere un tiro di rigore è un grande eroe. Queste foto sono sempre ricche di emozioni
9) quali sono i ruoli che ti piace di più fotografare? E perché?
Amo soprattutto le foto del portiere. Questo ruolo mi affascina moltissimo. È una parte importante della squadra ma in alcuni momenti lotta da solo. Un bel "tiro da portiere" mi fa cantare il cuore. Anche mio figlio è un portiere, forse questo è stato l'inizio del mio fascino.
10) Le vostre foto sono state oggetto di Comics di Floorballmania Comics e Stefano Crotti, cosa ne pensate del nostro progetto editoriale? Conoscevi Floorballmania?
Considero un grande onore che le mie foto siano scelte per essere fumetti da floorbalmania e Stefano. Ho imparato a conoscere la floorballmania attraverso i fumetti di Stefanos. Nel frattempo mi piace leggere floorballmania, in particolare le informazioni di base dal mondo del floorball. Grazie mille per questo.
