Today we take you around the social networks and we do it in the social network par excellence, Instagram.
We have shot a lot and today we want to introduce you and introduce you to an Instagram page that makes videos and beautiful things about floorball its strength.

1) hi 221 and thank you for accepting our interview. Then let's start getting to know you right away. Who are you, how many manage this wonderful page and why and where 221 Floorball was born?
Hi, thank you for your interview. I run 221floorball by myself (just one person), and would like to keep my identity anonymous. The account was set up in December 2015. While chatting with one of my friends, we realised that there was no Instagram account posting floorball highlights at the time, so I decided to start this account.
I was inspired by the football Instagram account ‘433’, which I’m sure many people would have heard of (hence the name 221, get it?). It started off just as an experiment, and I never thought that it would grow to what it is today. I am very thankful for everyone’s support thus far!
2) 221 Floorball is full of unreleased videos, how do you receive this material? Do you have someone in the fields or is it just the result of the great research you do on the web?
Most of the material I use currently is either from SportExpressen, SSL Play, Ruutu, VeikkausTV, Swissunihockey.tv or Ceskyflorbal.tv, or YouTube. Some videos require subscription for access. I have made a post on how to find these videos on my YouTube channel’s community tab. Over the years I have slowly learnt more about where to source for videos, by navigating through the websites, especially if I do not speak the language of certain countries.
However, for some videos, I have had the privilege of getting some more exclusive footage from specific players, and they have been really nice to help out. Many players have been really nice to do takeovers on 221floorball’s instagram stories, which also gives people the chance to ask the players questions, and get to know more about them and their teams. I really appreciate all of them for their help!
3) what relationship do you have with the teams in your country? Are you connected? Do you sponsor any local teams?
I currently play for a team as a goalie. I do not do any sponsorships.
4) Where does your Instagram page want to go? Have you ever thought about doing live races? Have you ever proposed your services to further develop your communication?
As of now I hope to focus on curating my Instagram page as well as my YouTube account, which was started recently. I am still studying, so I do this purely as a hobby in my free time, so for now I do not see myself expanding 221floorball past Instagram and YouTube. I don’t think I would do any live videos etc, as I would prefer not to be in front of a camera.
5) who takes care of the video editing? What about publications? Who has relations with the companies?
I do the video editing and posting of all videos on my own. I also handle all messages personally.
6) in Sweden floorball is a professional sport, do you make a TV program on floorball? You'd like it?
I’m not really sure what this question means, but I don’t think it would be practical for me to make any TV programmes.
7) 1295 Post, over 30300 followers this is the result of a great job, where do you want to go?
It’s been a long but fulfilling journey so far. There have been times when I had to take a break due to personal reasons, but I eventually continued posting because I feel that in order for floorball to continue to grow, it is necessary for it to have a good social media presence to spread awareness and garner interest from people.
I feel that floorball is still a sport in which language plays a part in preventing higher following and viewership of the highest leagues. Most clubs and national federations make video and news posts in their native languages, which may be hard for fans and players from other countries to understand. I feel that the role I play by posting in English hopefully helps to make floorball more accessible to people from around the world.
For now, I hope to continue posting videos and do what I can to help floorball to grow. The YouTube channel is still new and I am exploring what I can do with it.
8) Floorballmania is an Italian and international newspaper on floorball, what do you think of our work? Floorballmania will have a TV program soon, would you like to collaborate with some of your videos?
I have checked out the Floorblalmania website before, and it was definitely very interesting to read. I enjoyed reading the interviews with players, which really gives a more in-depth perspective to floorball in the various countries. I am open to it, we can explore further in the future.

Ciao, grazie per la tua intervista. Gestisco 221floorball da solo (solo una persona) e vorrei mantenere la mia identità anonima.
L'account è stato creato a dicembre 2015. Mentre chattavamo con uno dei miei amici, ci siamo resi conto che in quel momento non c'era nessun account Instagram che pubblicava momenti salienti del floorball, quindi ho deciso di avviare questo account.
Sono stato ispirato dall'account Instagram di calcio "433", di cui sono sicuro che molte persone avrebbero sentito parlare (da cui il nome 221, capito?). È iniziato come un esperimento e non avrei mai pensato che sarebbe cresciuto fino a diventare quello che è oggi. Sono molto grato per il sostegno di tutti finora!
2) 221 Floorball è pieno di video inediti, come ricevete questo materiale? Hai qualcuno nei campi oppure è solo il risultato della grande ricerca che fai sul web?
La maggior parte del materiale che utilizzo attualmente proviene da SportExpressen, SSL Play, Ruutu, VeikkausTV, Swissunihockey.tv o Ceskyflorbal.tv o YouTube.
Alcuni video richiedono un abbonamento per l'accesso. Ho scritto un post su come trovare questi video nella scheda della community del mio canale YouTube. Negli anni ho imparato lentamente di più su dove trovare i video, navigando nei siti web, soprattutto se non parlo la lingua di alcuni paesi.
Tuttavia, per alcuni video, ho avuto il privilegio di ottenere alcuni filmati più esclusivi da giocatori specifici e sono stati davvero gentili a dare una mano.

Per ora spero di concentrarmi sulla cura della mia pagina Instagram e del mio account YouTube, che è stato avviato di recente.

Finora è stato un viaggio lungo ma appagante. Ci sono state volte in cui ho dovuto fare una pausa per motivi personali, ma alla fine ho continuato a postare perché sento che per far crescere il floorball è necessario avere una buona presenza sui social media per diffondere consapevolezza e raccogliere l'interesse delle persone.
Sento che il floorball è ancora uno sport in cui la lingua gioca un ruolo nell'impedire un maggiore seguito e spettatori dei campionati più alti. La maggior parte dei club e delle federazioni nazionali pubblica video e post di notizie nella loro lingua madre, che può essere difficile da capire per i fan e i giocatori di altri paesi. Sento che il ruolo che svolgo postando in inglese, si spera, aiuti a rendere il floorball più accessibile alle persone di tutto il mondo.
Per ora, spero di continuare a postare video e fare il possibile per aiutare il floorball a crescere. Il canale YouTube è ancora nuovo e sto esplorando cosa posso fare con esso.
8) Floorballmania è un quotidiano italiano e internazionale sul floorball, cosa ne pensate del nostro lavoro? Floorballmania avrà presto un programma TV, ti piacerebbe collaborare con alcuni tuoi video?
Ho già visitato il sito web di Floorblalmania ed è stato sicuramente molto interessante da leggere. Mi è piaciuto leggere le interviste ai giocatori, che danno davvero una prospettiva più approfondita al floorball nei vari paesi. Sono aperto a questo, possiamo esplorare ulteriormente in futuro.
